Marcia’s background in teaching, Western herbology and massage therapy brought her to Acupuncture school. Her specialties are rooted in Family Medicine, particularly women’s health, pregnancy, fertility support (women and men), pediatric care, pain management, and emotional wellness. Her approach encompasses both her training in Chinese, Japanese, and Five Element Acupuncture traditions. She holds current memberships with the California State Oriental Medical Association (CSOMA) and the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM).
Following the tradition of Chinese Medicine, Marcia encourages an integrated approach to experiencing and maintaining optimal health. With this in mind, each patient receives an individualized treatment plan tailored to his or her specific health needs. This treatment plan can include: acupuncture, nutritional guidance, Eastern and Western herbal therapies, suggested supplements, mindfulness-based meditation, and strengthening exercises. Marcia’s goal is to inspire patients to manifest their own vision of wellness not simply as recipients of multiple healing modalities but as participants who take an active role in bringing their own health and healing into being.
